Royal Parks Half Marathon 2009 · 11 October 2009 ·

Help a Capital Child is proud to announce its new name: Make Some Noise – we will help disadvantaged children and young people across the UK. Thanks to your support, we have grown over the years and we will continue to help those affected by illness, disability, bereavement or lack of opportunity.

Story

I am running a marathon (but it starts on Saturday 17th October and finishes on Sunday 3rd November!!)

In these credit crunch days I realise that new ideas to part with your money are much needed!

Therefore I am prepared to run ‘3 races (26miles) in return for receiving 1 sponsorship’.

On  Saturday I will be running in Banstead Woods then, a week later I shall be pounding the streets of Portsmouth in the, now annual, Great South Run! A week later I shall be running the Horsham Half Marathon.  Hopefully, when I do the full Marathon in 2012 it won’t take me 2 weeks to complete!

I am raising money for Help a London Child

Help a London Child was founded in 1975 by Lord Attenborough CBE, as 95.8 Capital FM's charity to assist and give opportunities to thousands of London’s children and young people experiencing abuse, homelessness, disability, poverty and illness. Over the last 34 years the charity has raised in excess of £20 million and awarded that amount to over 10,000 small groups across the Capital, directly helping over 1 million children.

Please help me to raise money for this worthy cause.

Thank you.

Tim
