Virgin London Marathon 2010 · 25 April 2010 ·

Notting Hill Housing Trust houses over 70,000 people across London. It was set up in 1963 by a local clergyman who felt driven to do something about the shocking housing conditions of poor people in west London. Many of our tenants are vulnerable and isolated and need high levels of support.

Story

The London Marathon is one of the top five international marathons run over the traditional distance of 42.195 km (26 miles and 385 yards). I figure I have very few marathons in my legs so thought I might as well go for one of the big ones!

The London Marathon is the largest annual fundraising event on the planet – runners have raised over £450 million for good causes since the race began in 1981.

I am running it for Notting Hill Housing.

Notting Hill Housing aims to improve the lives of homeless, poorly housed and vulnerable people across London. They provide care for individuals and families left isolated by poverty and work with local people to make their communities better places to live. Notting Hill Housing is a passionate and progressive organisation that has been delivering vibrant urban regeneration and new developments in London since 1963.
