The Aspire Channel Swim 2008 · 15 September 2008 ·

Every two hours someone in the UK is paralysed by a spinal cord injury. It can happen to anyone at any time and no one is prepared for how it will change their life. Aspire is a national charity that provides practical help, supporting spinal cord injured people from injury to independence.

Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. If you have come directly to this page you might like to check out my blog (http://timswim.wordpress.com) which describes my efforts towards the Aspire Channel Swim (22 miles in a local pool over a 12 week period). The blog contains a brief account of my history as a swimmer (more like a non-swimmer really) and regular updates on my progress.

I am pleased to be able to report that I completed the challenge on Tuesday 2md December 2008 and managed to raise a grand total of £641.50. I have now finished collecting sponsorship monies so please don't add any more to the pot but find an alternative good cause instead.

Many thanks
