Hi

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

On April 23rd I will be competing in, and hopefully completing, the London Marathon. My primary aim in doing this isn't necessarily to raise money for charity, however, it seems to me that it would be a bonus if others could benefit as a result of many hours of training on my part and 3 hours or so of hard graft on the day. Whilst I have no strong affiliation to any particular charity I have been asked by a good friend to promote a local charity called Edward's Trust and there is no doubt that this is a very worthy cause.

Edward's Trust offers accomodation and support to families whilst their seriously ill child undergoes in-patient treatment (for cancer or leukaemia) at the Birmingham Children's Hospital. They also offer a wide range of support services to bereaved families and children.

Finally for the record my place in the event is through my athletics club and so 100% of any donations  will go straight to the charity and be gratefully appreciated whatever their size. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Edward's Trust will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Many thanks for your support

Tim
