They wouldn’t let me in to Oxford back when I was a student so to get my revenge, together with several of my BNP Paribas colleagues, I am mounting a bicycle raid on the ancient seat of learning and all in aid of charity. Starting in Henley down by the river we will be cycling about 50 miles in a roundabout route, hopefully avoiding most of the Chilterns (apart from the downhill ones) and ending up in Oxford. The route map for your enjoyment is available as a photo to the left.
This is the page is where you, kind reader, can donate some of your hard earned cash to provide an incentive for me to leave the safety of London and venture out into the wilds of the countryside astride my two wheeled steed. Of course the money is going to a good cause – the Helen & Douglas House Hospice (coincidentally in Oxford) so don’t be shy and flash your wad with a generous donation.
The Helen & Douglas House provides respite and end of life care for children and young adults with life-shortening conditions, as well as support and friendship for the whole family. The two hospice houses are bright, vibrant and positive places, where the emphasis is on living life to the full, even when that life may be short.
So a big thank you in advance and if you really want I will post some photos after the event to provide proof of my efforts.
