Well done for making the effort to visit my fund raising site for an excellent cause.
The last few years, I have run the GNR for various charities, but always felt that being a masochist, the pain wasn't sufficient. To this end, this year, I am setting the mother of all challenges. On September the 18th, I will leave my home near Gibraltar, armed with a peddle bike, a tent and a few emergency rations, and set out to cycle alone and unaided to Newcastle, to run the Great North Run at the end on the 5th of October. Needless to say I have trained a little, and would like to thank my family so far in their forbearance for allowing me to train and be a bit off the wall. Jane Tomlinson was an inspiration to those people who are in the comfort zone, or just feel that there is no point to fighting when the odds are stacked. She helped a lot of people other than herself along the way, and I admire that immensely. To this end, I will use her achievements as a motive to ensure that when it gets tough (and it will), that I push on through. The more money that you guys donate, the easier it will be. Thanks for all your support. ATB Tim
