Plymouth Half Marathon · 25 May 2008 ·

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

The Plymouth Half Marathon sounded like such a good idea when I committed myself to doing it, round a mates house, at Christmas.  It was definitely a beer induced decision and now, as the time is rapidly approaching, I'm absolutely dreading it.  At least I've discovered one thing..... I'm no runner.  This is going to be your one and only chance to sponsor me running anywhere.  On May 26th my running shoes will be on eBay.

So, as a one-off event, I'd like to try and raise a bit of money for a cause which is very close to my heart.  I lost my Dad to Alzheimer's a few weeks ago, it's an awful disease and if I can make any small gesture to help sufferers and carers I'm happy to do so, regardless of the blisters.

If you’re up for it, just click madly around the screen and eventually you’ll be relieved of some money, many thanks for your support.
