As you know sustainability and community are key strategic themes for us in O2 for 2009. The O2 UK Board team has committed to raise £100k for ‘It's Your Community’ projects, giving awards of up to £1,000 to local groups and individuals to benefit local communities.  The awards are independently judged and administered by The Conservation Foundation on behalf of O2. As a first step (actually 11,000 painful steps!), myself and some of the other directors will be taking part in the Reading Half Marathon on Sunday 29 March.

We’ll all be contributing to our sustainability drive, which in turn will help our communities.

It’s going to be a great day and I’m really looking forward to taking part. I think! So please sponsor me if you can and help drive me over the finish line to raise some much needed funds for these great projects.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to donate to It's Your Community. The Conservation Foundation, who manage and distribute funds on behalf of O2's It's Your Community, gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

This is a really popular event and places in the race are now full but if you’d like to come along to cheer us on, it would be great to see you! Some of us will need more support than others!

Many thanks,

Tim
