London to Paris Cycle Challenge 2009 · 9 September 2009 ·

Fighting Barrett's Oesophagus and oesophageal cancer by maintaining the Barrett's Oesophagus registry (UKBOR), funding research and providing patient support. Early diagnosis and public awareness of Barrett's Oesophagus and oesophageal cancer will help stem the steady increase of deaths in the UK.

Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

After completing the London Marathon last year, and having wrecked my ankles and knees in the process, I have been looking for the next big challenge to complete before I turn 60. Cycling 290 miles from London to Paris in 4 days seems to fit the bill. Looking at the map, it should all be downhill!

I shall be going through the same rigorous training programme that I undertook for the Marathon, i.e sticking to very good claret.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Barrett's Oesophagus Foundation gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!
