Afasic represents children and young adults with speech and language impairments, their parents and carers. Afasic operates a UK wide telephone helpline and produces information and literature for parents and professionals. It organises workshops, conferences and seminars and has field officers and local groups for parent support.

My story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page...yes I know mad as a hatter running is not for wimps (lol!). My eldest son has Specific Language Disorder hence my personal decision to run for a charity called AFASIC this year....4th time I have dusted out the trainers. AFASIC is the charity who supports children and adults with communication challenges. Soooo, if you could sponsor me, it would be appreciated. The run is Adidas 5km Women's Challenge in Hyde Park on Sunday 6 September..if you really want a laugh come along and see if you can spot me.. I shall need the encouragement (and the embarrassing photos on Facebook!)
