Oh my goodness - I can't believe I am doing this.  But here we go, there's a first (and last) for everything!

I volunteered for this trip several months ago and have been attempting to get fit ever since.  It's going to be an amazing personal experience and I wanted to use the opportunity to try and persuade my friends to help out two very worthy causes - the FPA and Betel Children's Home  http://www.justgiving.com/tjm160kilimanjaro.

Any donations you make on this site will go to the FPA - I have been involved with the FPA since 2006 and currently sit on its board of trustees.  FPA is  the UK's leading charity on sexual health issues and recently won the Disability category at the 2010 Charity Awards for its work with people with learning disabilities.  As well as its support to GP's and the general public, the FPA does an enormous amount of work with underprivileged and vulnerable groups.
