We are a global Christian organisation leading the fight against leprosy. Following Jesus Christ, we seek to bring about transformation; breaking the chains of leprosy and empowering people to attain healing, dignity and life in all its fullness.

Story

Hi, Les and Di are cycling on a Tandem about 271 miles from Alston in Cumbria to Peterborogh to raise money for the Premananda Hospital in Kolkata (sponsored by The Leprosy Mission) which offers free treatment for Leprosy sufferers. The Leprosy Mission is Di's chosen charity for her two years as President of MWiB Cumbria District (Methodist Women in Britain - formerly Network.) Leprosy is a destructive disease which not only disfigures those who suffer from it, but the stigma that is attached, often means people are unable to work or live with their loved ones. The Leprosy Mission work very hard to offer not only treatment, but strive to change attitudes and offer training to those who suffer new skills so that they can regain some dignity in life an earn a living -and we all deserve a second chance - don't we?. We want to make a difference by sending a BIG donation to TLM. We'll do the hard work by peddling the bike if you would kindly provide the pounds. So please dig deep and make a donation for this great and worthycause.

Thank you

Di and Les Wallace
