We would like to take this opportunity to introduce ourselves as Nick and Justyn from Herefordshire. We’ve always been very keen Motocrossers- off roaders from an early age through to our now middle age . We started ‘green laning or trail riding’ a year or so ago and have found it to be very interesting and rewarding, definitely a lot of fun to be had and a lot of friends to be made! We are very much beginners at this hobby and would like to put it to good use .
We have decided to dedicate a sponsored trail ride in memory of ‘Sue Smith, Justyn’s mum who sadly passed away Dec 25 2006 aged 55yrs at our local Hospice,St Michael’s. Their dedication and finest caring is second to none, such a wonderful place with a huge heart, taking care of the sick and their family and friends, all funds raised will be donated to their registered charity.
Our ride will start near Lands end in June 2009 and take us zig-zagging all the way up to John O Groats, with as much ‘green laning-trail riding’ as we canfit in through England, Wales and Scotland.Our aim to try to stay off as many main roads and busy tarmac as possible and only use them as a last resort linking trail lanes together, we aim to put the miles on the tracks and trails! We are accompanied by Ian who is our back up and support van driver .Its going to be a long trip and appropriately called ‘The long way up’, it’s a brilliant opportunity to ride unfamiliar territory and take photo’s and video to share with everyone.
