The Aspire Channel Swim 2008 · 15 September 2008 ·

Every two hours someone in the UK is paralysed by a spinal cord injury. It can happen to anyone at any time and no one is prepared for how it will change their life. Aspire is a national charity that provides practical help, supporting spinal cord injured people from injury to independence.

Story

Welcome!

What's going on? - The Aspire Channel Swim

I am going to swim the distance of the English Channel (22 miles or 35.4km) in my local pool over a 12 week period and raise money for Aspire and people with spinal cord injuries.
The event starts on 15Sep and I will have to swim 1416 lengths by 07Dec.  That's 118 lengths each week.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: ASPIRE gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!

Progress So Far (end of Week 10):
Target = 35,400m
Achieved = 35,400m (100%)

Finished with 1 week to spare.  Hooray!
