For those who don't know me, my name is Toby Price, I am a first year medical student in Leeds and I was looking to do something that would benefit others this summer. I am spending 4 weeks over in Ghana in June, and their is a requirement to raise the funds for the raw materials needed to continue with building the school and hospital facilities out there. I am paying for the cost of my flight and accommodation, but there are additional costs to the charity of me being a volunteer such as building materials and tools, permanent staff who teach the locals and the volunteers the skills required to build their community and equipment for the children to use in their new school.
