Virgin London Marathon 2010 · 25 April 2010 ·

At Activity Alliance, we believe that everyone belongs in sport and physical activity. Yet, disabled people remain the least active in our society. Our strategy, We All Belong, drives meaningful change by tackling the biggest challenges disabled people face when trying to be active in sport.

Story

Every year I say i'll do it next...so time to put my money where my mouth is!  The 2010 London Marathon just got real at only a month away!

Inspired by my brother Nick's girfriend, Ash, who ran for English Federation of Disability Sport (EFDS) last year, I got in touch and they offered me the opportunity to run for their extremely worthy cause.  See more about the fantastic work they do across the page.

I don't have any other affiliation to EFDS or poignant reason to run the marathon, but I'm sure you'll agree that it takes foolish people like me who sign up to these events to make the little contributions to the funds they desparately need to provide the support and services they give each year to people less fortunate than ourselves.

Running for a charity where every donation really counts has certainly given me the extra determination needed to get out of bed on these still cold spring mornings and put the miles in!

So please, any amount you wish to donate will really, really, be appreciated, and apologies to those of you who know more than one person running the marathon!  I won't be offended if someone else is more worthy ;-)

Many thanks in advance for your generosity.
