This April, I will be part of a team of 12 who are aiming to trek to Everest Base Camp and then tackle 'Island Peak' - a mountain summit which reaches a height of 6100m (21,000 feet), with the whole trip lasting around 3 weeks.

The charity I am raising money for is the NET Patient Foundation which is related to the little known Carcinoid Cancer. This cancer is known as the silent cancer as it is often not till late in the disease that the cancer shows itself. One of the team lost their wife to this cancer 6 years ago and so our fundraising efforts our focused on supporting  this worthwhile cause.
