Story
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!
On Saturday 5th July this year, I will be taking part in Le Marmotte, which is a cycling race in France.
The race is 174km and climbs up some 5000 metres, running through Isere, Savoie and the Alps, climbing over mythical passes such as the Glandon, the Telegraphe, le Galibier, le Lautaret, and the famous 21 hairpins of the Alpe d'Huez to the finish.
This year, I will be cycling for the The Lucas Johnston fund at the Evelina Children's Hospital Appeal, that has been set up in honour of Lucas Johnston who has a heart condition called Tetralogy of Fallot, and has survived two major operations with the help of the Evelina Children's Hospital.
The Lucas Johnston fund aims to raise £85,000 to fund life-saving equipment for a new intensive care bed, just like the one that helped Lucas recover after his operations so that more children like Lucas have the chance to have a full and healthy life.
