Imagine not having the energy to lift your leg to walk!

Multiple Sclerosis affects nerve function which can lead to muscle weakness, spasms and give pain for no reason.  Secondary symptoms can be mood swings, vision problems and problems with ones 'waterworks' along with general fatigue.

Working at the Multiple Sclerosis (MS) centre & having a family member that has lived with MS for the past 30 years I know and have seen how MS can affect the lives of people who suffer from this illness.

It is not known what the cause of MS is or  what the disease process is and therefore currently no cure is known. Sufferers have to live with the effects of the disease and manage as best they can.

People with MS rely on their family and friends to help them through their daily lives and having worked at the Therapy Centre in Canterbury for the last year can see how much benefit both the carers and sufferers benefit from such a friendly, caring and supportive network.
