Hope and Aid Direct

Hope and Aid Direct delivers humanitarian aid directly into the hands of refugees, displaced persons or those at risk. Their focus is currently in Kosovo although aid has also been delivered to Bosnia, Croatia, Romania, Zambia and Sri Lanka. They have no paid staff, only volunteers and are not affiliated to any particular organisation, religion or ethnic group. Their motto is simple: 'We take aid, not sides'

My story

Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.

We're attempting to cycle 66 miles around The Solent to raise money for two charities: Hope & Aid Direct, delivering aid to refugees wherever it is needed, and Growing Care, teaching street children farming skills in Romania. The cycle ride takes place on 20th June starting in Lymington and takes us through the New Forest and over to the Isle of Wight. At least we get a rest on the ferry rides!
