Longest Day Golf Challenge · 4 May 2006

The number of people diagnosed with cancer is growing, we're doing whatever it takes to help more people with cancer get the best care the UK has to offer, whoever and wherever they are. To donate, volunteer, raise money or campaign with us, call 0300 1000 200 or visit macmillan.org.uk

Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

We have vowed to undertake the longest day golf challenge. The challenge is to play 4 rounds of golf in a day. During an average round of golf a person walks 6 miles, so four rounds will be just shy of a marathon!

My brother David and I lost our father to cancer last year and are undertaking this challenge in his memory and to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support who did a wonderful job of caring for him during his fight against the disease.

Lloyd lost his mother to cancer aged 65 in 2004 and the care given in the Maidstone Hospice by the Macmillan nurses was second to none.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Macmillan Cancer Support will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor us now!

Many thanks for your support.
