Well, I ran the 2009 London Marathon and survived. My time of 4.20 was a bit disappointing as the target was under 4 hours, but cramp hit me after about 19 miles and I hobbled the last few miles.
Anyway, I'd like to thank everyone who has sponsored me, online and 'off-line', for their very generous donations. The money is going to a great cause. The Medical Foundation has a good website, should you wish to find out more information about the work it does.
It is, of course, still possible to donate. If you would like to sponsor me post-event, doing so through Justgiving is quick, easy, totally secure, and it's also the most efficient way of donating: Medical Foundation For The Care Of Victims Of Torture gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Thanks again. Tom
