I will be running the London Marathon in April this year to raise much needed funding for Addaction - the UK's largest drug and alcohol treatment charity.

This organisation provides two core support programmes:

1) It runs specialist support groups and education and employment programmes to help addicts themselves in overcoming their problems.  

2) It provides a valuable range of support developed for families and carers affected by substance misuse. It is estimated that almost one in five of us are likely to have a family member affected in this way - a cause we can, therefore, little ignore.

In order to achieve this goal I have committed to a 5 day a week training regime - which is absorbing much of my already minimal free time! So please show your support for the charity and my personal goal by giving a small donation to my fundraising pot. The more money I see on my page the easier it will be to get out of my bed at 5.30am before work for those (fun packed!) mid week runs.
