Name says it all, in 14 weeks time i'm going to attempt to run the Edinburgh marathon for my own glorious self fulfilment.... also for charity.

I'm going to run for Aids Ark. they raise money solely for the purchase of anti retro virals which given to named individuals who have proven an inability to purchase them themselves and that are not elegible for government funded provision. all the individuals in return are involved in education within their communities to provide information about HIV to those around them.

Anti retro virals are currently the only way to ensure a long and healthy life for individuals with AIDs and it costs about £240 a year to provide one person with generically made ARV's. The philosphy of Aids Ark is taken from Schindler's List/Ark, you can't save everyone but you should save as many as you can for the future benefit of all.

... so i'm thinking its about time the people who came up with Dr A - you know who you are - cough up big styley for charity!
