Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.

I did the jump on Saturday at around 3:30pm. We arrived at the jump site at 8:45 and spent the whole day waiting to get up in the plane. Weirdly I didn't feel nervous and the only time I felt scared was when you stick your legs outside and have to kick back as if trying to touch your feet on the underneath of the plane!

On the way up, it seemed a bit weird that they didn't close the aircraft door properly, but then it dawned on me that this was a one way ticket and we were SUPPOSED to fall out of it!!! It took about 15minutes to get up to 13,500Ft and while we were going up the clouds starting to come in and spoil the view a bit. 1 solo jumper and a group of 3 jumped before me and my instructor, then our cameraman got outside into position, then it was our turn to jump!

From then on, it was absolutely exhilirating! About 3 seconds and we went straight into a cloud, then it was about 42 seconds of freefall with NO IDEA where the ground was and how fast it was coming up to greet us! It doesn't matter how confident and safe I felt earlier, you can't help but think things like, does he know when to open the parachute when he can't see the ground! Then, when he opened it, we came out the bottom of the cloud and then I completed a series of turns and spirals until we were back on safe firm british soil!

The preview is available to view now at www.watchmyskydive.com/tomchubb and there will be more footage and photos available soon.

I have some more collections to do, but any more donations will be gratefully received.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Cancer Research UK will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.
