Tom, Coco and Bea have been living for more than twenty years in a private residence in the North of Spain. Their current owner bought them from a local circus. Tom has been separated from the females Coco and Bea for a long time and we believe it would be better for them to join our existing chimp groups. We hope that Tom will join the bachelor group first and then Coco and Bea will join the family group. This will be a complex integration process which could take many months to a year. It took us more than a year to integrate Victor who lived alone in a French park before his rescue. We urgently need to raise funds to cover the costs of the integration process which will involve some minor adaptations to our indoor sleeping quarters and to provide a full-time caregiver who will work with these three chimps to help them through what can be a very traumatic process during their introduction and integration into our current chimp groups.
