<p><strong>News Updates:</strong></p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">April 3rd: </span>I have run 3 times since March 4th since which I've been battling a foot injury. Overdid the training. Rats. Foot in ice everyday now, and with physios help still haven't given up hope on making the start line. Chances increasingly slim though.</p>
<p><strong>Why am I running?</strong></p>
<p>Friends First is a charity based in Brighton that works with the homeless, and I'm very grateful to them for letting me run this years Brighton Marathon in their 'colour's. </p>
<p>Friends First has special importance to me for 2 reasons:</p>
<p>1. I'm also involved in serving the homeless in our home town of Winchester where I've now been leading a Soup Service for the for 2.5 years.</p>
<p>2. Marianne, my wife, helped kick-off Friends First over 15 years ago when we both lived in Brighton. She's always been a step or two ahead of me in this area!</p>
<p>I hope you can spend a little of your hard-earned money on this cause, but if not ... just pray I finish :-) </p>
<p>I ran 2 half marathons in 2011, and have had to seriously ramp up the training to prepare for Brighton. I'm running the Bournmouth Half Marathon a few weeks before as preparation. Training, hurts, but seems to be going well!</p>
