Story

News Updates:

April 3rd: I have run 3 times since March 4th since which I've been battling a foot injury. Overdid the training. Rats. Foot in ice everyday now, and with physios help still haven't given up hope on making the start line. Chances increasingly slim though.

Why am I running?

Friends First is a charity based in Brighton that works with the homeless, and I'm very grateful to them for letting me run this years Brighton Marathon in their 'colour's.

Friends First has special importance to me for 2 reasons:

1. I'm also involved in serving the homeless in our home town of Winchester where I've now been leading a Soup Service for the for 2.5 years.

2. Marianne, my wife, helped kick-off Friends First over 15 years ago when we both lived in Brighton. She's always been a step or two ahead of me in this area!

I hope you can spend a little of your hard-earned money on this cause, but if not ... just pray I finish :-)

I ran 2 half marathons in 2011, and have had to seriously ramp up the training to prepare for Brighton. I'm running the Bournmouth Half Marathon a few weeks before as preparation. Training, hurts, but seems to be going well!

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
