Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
Running 10 marathons in 10 days is a big ask, but the challenge actually started months ago as I get the training in so my body can stand up to the pounding it will take. As an example, here is a typical training week at the moment.
Sunday. Half marathon (21Km). 2 hours 6 minutes.
Monday. 7Km. 44 minutes. Average heart rate 163.
Tuesday. Rest day.
Wednesday. 10Km. 57 minutes. Average heart rate 179.
Thursday. 6Km. 38 minutes. Average heart rate 159.
Friday. Rest day.
Saturday. 10Km. 1hour 4 minutes. Average heart rate 163.
Over the next few weeks I will add cycling to this regime, and increase the distance of the long Sunday run a little. This, hopefully, will see me fit and well at the start line on May 8th.
I am making a tremendous commitment of my time to this challenge so any donation you can give in recognition would be really appreciated.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Brathay Hall Trust gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!
