THE CHALLENGE!!!!....Starts Tuesday 26th May!!!
I shall embarking on a challenge that will hit me where it hurts.....my tummy! Following on from the success of my "Ethiopian Challenge" (which raised over £300! for the WFP) I am turning my attentions to tackling the alphabet of foods.
For the next 26 days I shall be working my way through the alphabet days by day eating only those bare ingredients that correspond with the appropriate letter.......eg:
Day 1 - Apple, Asparagus, apricot etc..........Day 4 - Egg........Day 6 - Garlic, Ginger.....
Notice that only the raw ingredient may be eaten NOT Apple Pie, Easter eggs and Ginger Bread! as these all have many ingredients from various letters....sounds tough doesn’t it!
So that I dont end up in hospital I am letting myself have 4 things each day to help survive. These items are Water, Salt, Plain Flour and Oil.
It may sound like fun in a way, and maybe it will but then could you go 26 days without: Crisps, Chocolate, Bread, Pasta, Coke, Biscuits, Sandwiches etc?? or 25 days without Butter, Chicken, Beef, Pork, Milk, Squash....the list goes on.
WHY??....I think that most of us take for granted how easy it is to eat and drink what we want when we want it so this will help remind me and hopefully others life isn’t like that in many parts of the country and world.
