I'm running the Brighton Half Marathon to raise money on behalf of the Carer Support Team who are part of the West Herts Hospitals Charity (registered under 1052210 in England and Wales).

The Carer Support Team is a volunteer service that provides practical and emotional support to parents and carers with children in Starfish Children's Ward and the Children's Emergency Department at Watford General Hospital. 

Their support helps parents and carers to better care for their sick child. They are currently extending their support to parents and carers of the most vulnerable newborns in the Special Care Baby Unit.   

The Carer Support Team not only provides support for parents and carers but are an invaluable part of the wider paediatric team - their support not only needs recognition and encouragement but also a major backing from all corners.

As a group, we are giving our time, and running in competitions to raise the profile and charitable support for this very selfless group of individuals.

 CST are completely reliant on charitable fundraising and are only able to provide this service thanks to the generosity of donors, the parents and carers that they support and - you - the public.
