1 in 5 children in the UK are affected by their parents' alcohol problems. They are often frightened and isolated, with no one to turn to for help. Nacoa responds by providing a free, confidential telephone, 1-2-1 chat and email helpline.

Story

Hi.

I know this is yet another thing you have been asked to put your hard earned cash into and its only a 13.1 mile run.  How hard can it be?

Well please consider 2 things for a second

1) My poor fitness track record + plus my love of beer and pizza means a lot of evenings and weekends running in shorts that are too tight and struggling for breath.  That has to be worth some money.

2) Unlike some of the other things we pour our money into without thinking consider the good that will come from your donation, no matter how small.

NACOA (The National Association For Children of Alcoholics) will be able to provide more help, more support and more helpline hours for children in alcoholic or abusive homes.  Thats got to be better than another starbucks or Heat magazine.

Why did I choose NACOA?  I am currently giving my time to volunteer on the helpline and speak to organisations about the good work they do;  but like everything they need the money to keep the helpline going.

So please sponsor me now and many thanks for your support.

Loving it.

Tom 'Running Pants' Sutherland.
