About my charity : WellChild WellChild
WellChild supports sick children and their families across the UK. WellChild Children’s Nurses give care and support to chronically sick children living at home. WellChild Helpline and Information Service offers confidential advice and information about children’s health (helpline@wellchild.org.uk). Our research nurses and doctors work in hospitals across the UK to develop better treatments and cures for childhood illness and disease.

Getting sick children better

  • Every 30 minutes, a baby is born with a genetic disorder
  • Today 4 families have been told the devastating news that their child has cancer
  • Each week 30 children are struck down by meningitis and 3 die
  • There are over 5,000 known rare disorders. They affect children and adults and many are long-term, progressive and disabling.

WellChild is dedicated to supporting sick children, whatever their illness. They work to find ways to prevent and cure childhood disease and illness and to improve the treatment and care of sick children.
