Tom's Alaska Challenge

Alaska Challenge · 22 June 2012
I work for Wickes in Wigan In Northern Region 14!!!
I am 'One Out Of The Twenty' that are taking part in this amazing experdition all in aid of Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research.
Myself and the rest of the team will be hiking for EIGHT days, within these eight days I will be hiking for 6 - 8 hours a day with full packs weighing between 25 - 30kg! and scaling up to 2000m and down again to complete a journey through the wild terrain of the Talkeetna Mountains.
After finishing the EIGHT day hike we make our way to the Mantanuska Glacier were we will all be attempting to ice climb on the glacier followed by a river rafting run down the Class IV Mantanuska River!!
This will take two weeks to complete from the 2nd September - 16th September (The Day I Return To The UK)
This is a once in a life time experience and i cant wait to go and any donations of any amount would go along way to help people with Leukaemia & Lymphoma but it will also give me the confidence to know that when im in the Talkeetna Mountains or the Mantanuska Glacier i have support back home.
WE CAN DO THIS!!
Thanks For All Your Support Guys!!
Tom :)
