<div style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;" class="MsoNormal"><span style="line-height: 115%; font-family: &amp;amp;amp; font-size: 10pt; mso-no-proof: yes;">Hi thank you for sparing the time to visit our<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Grand Canyon Trek fund raising challenge for Weston Park<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> Exclusive </span>Cancer Hospital<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>(Sheffield),one of only four dedicated cancer hospitals in England.</span></div>
<div style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;" class="MsoNormal"><span style="color: black; line-height: 115%; font-family: &amp;amp;amp; font-size: 10pt;">In February 2010 I was diagnosed with head and neck cancer, after the emotional turmoil which anyone will go through in the first instance, I was introduced through the normal channels to the staff in the Weston Park Cancer Hospital in Sheffield.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify; margin-top: 0cm; text-justify: inter-ideograph;"><span style="color: black; font-family: &amp;amp;amp; font-size: 10pt;">It is the sheer dedication, kindness and commitment, from all of the staff at all levels at this Hospital who have inspired me and given me the courage to commit myself and return such kindness.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify; margin-top: 0cm; text-justify: inter-ideograph;"><span style="color: black; font-family: &amp;amp;amp; font-size: 10pt;">I have a number of reasons for wishing to attempt this challenge, <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>half way through my treatment I was offered<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>an audition for Total Wipeout, for obvious reasons I had to decline, so first and fore most it’s for me, to prove if only to myself that I have recovered enough to accept this challenge and in turn help others. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify; margin-top: 0cm; text-justify: inter-ideograph;"><span style="color: black; font-family: &amp;amp;amp; font-size: 10pt;">Secondly, I cannot praise enough the commitment to all the staff at the Weston park Hospital and I hope this would be seen as my effort in attempt to say thank you for the outstanding treatment I received whilst completely in their hands.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify; margin-top: 0cm; text-justify: inter-ideograph;"><span style="color: black; font-family: &amp;amp;amp; font-size: 10pt;">As a direct result of my treatment I have been left with fifty per cent saliva glands, this gives me tremendous difficulty in swallowing and the normally mundane task of eating is a constant challenge for me resulting in my drinking upwards of four litres of water a day and a small bottle of water is now a constant companion to me.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify; margin-top: 0cm; text-justify: inter-ideograph;"><span style="color: black; font-family: &amp;amp;amp; font-size: 10pt;">Notwithstanding my personal treadmill of daily challenges, a legacy of Cancer which I’m sure all sufferers will experience. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>I am eager to repay that kindness and I cannot stress enough just what it will mean to me to achieve this in order to contribute to the ever increasing gradient constantly presented to those raising money for research.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify; margin-top: 0cm; text-justify: inter-ideograph;"><span style="color: black; font-family: &amp;amp;amp; font-size: 10pt;">My Step daughter Kimberley witnessed my suffering and that of those close to me during this challenging time. As a result of this Kimberley has kindly offered to take part as my rock. Together we can achieve more.</span></div>
