*** CROSSED THE FINISH LINE ***
Thanks to all of you who have so generously sponsored me - it's really appreciated.
It was a really great day - and if you were any of the thousands of people there on the day shouting encouragement - you deserve a medal too! I managed to cross the line in front of Her Maj's gaff in a respectable 3:13:39 ; beating Gordon Ramsay and Jordan :)
This April, I'll be putting myself through 26.2 miles street-pounding in London town. What else would I be doing on these wintry evenings except get out and get fit for charity?! I know it's credit-crunch/recession time, but a small donation will go a long way.
It wasn't easy getting a place in this race, but thankfully I did, because with your generous donations, Oxfam will be able to carry out charitable work in many areas. In Malawi, Kenya and Rwanda they support crop growing and income generating projects. In Kenya, they work with the Maasai people on issues of land rights. All of Oxfam's programmes involve educating people about HIV/AIDS and its effects. Oxfam's passion is to help poor communities to help themselves and to have a voice that gets heard. Thanks a million for visiting.
