ChildLine is the UK's free and confidential, 24 hour helpline for children in distress or danger. Trained volunteer counsellors comfort, advise, support and protect children and young people who may feel they have nowhere else to turn. Children call ChildLine about a wide range of problems, but the most common problems are abuse (both sexual and physical), bullying, serious family tensions, worries about friends' welfare and teenage pregnancy. Children and young people can call ChildLine about anything – no problem is too big or too small. ChildLine is a service provided by the NSPCC

Story

Starting on 22nd May 2009 Tony Page and Gavin Gerrard travelled by sea kayak North from Morar around the coast of Scotland and back to Morar via the Caledonian Canal, a journey of some 830km.

In doing so we aimed to raise money for two important but very different causes, MacMillan Cancer Support and Childline.

Please use this page if you wish to support our efforts by donating to Childline.

ChildLine is the free helpline for children and young people in the UK that they can call at any time of the night or day.  Last year ChildLine counselled around 176,000 children and young people about a wide range of problems.  Many of these children were in great distress; others were in danger of being hurt or of hurting themselves.
