The Kirkwood exists to improve the quality of life for local people, against all odds. We help those in our care to live well and make the most of every single day. We make the complex simple by focusing on what's important, and we support families and loved ones to live on and live well.

Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

My 'Best Man' Mark Flanagan and his friends, Ed Hole and Paul Hancox, ran the 'Wolverhampton City Half Marathon' on Sunday 7th Sept 2008 to raise money for Kirkwood Hospice and then if that was not enough will be running the Birmingham half city marathon on 26th October .

I lost my dad in January and in his last month the nurses at Kirkwood looked after him fantastically.  They were so caring towards him and to the rest of the family.

Kirkwood Hospice only receives 20% of its running costs from the government.  The rest of the £2.7million a year needed to continue to care for terminally ill patients has to come through fundraising.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor my friends: Kirkwood Hospice gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Thank you for your support.
