Story

Please help Tony raise money for SCOPE

WE DID IT! On 24th - 26th April 2010 I cycled 235 miles from Worcester to London and back in two, while on the Sunday 25th April, my uncle Paul MArsden ran the marathon in a very respectable 4 hours 25 mins. A huge thanks to Paul and to the wonderful and extremely generous donations he sent me from his sponsors. I have added their £880 to the total.

A massive thanks to everyone who sponsored me for this event. It will make such a big difference to people living with cerebral palsy.

Watch out for my next challenge!!!!

Tony.

Hello and thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

So what am I up to this time? Having succesfully climbed Mount Kilimanjaro and raised nearly £4,000 on behalf of Scope, I wanted to do another challenge for this excellent charity.

I will be getting on my bicycle and cycling from Worcester to London and back on the Saturday before and Monday after the London Marathon in April. The distance I will cycle is around 400km.

Why cycling and not running the marathon. I had keyhole surgery on my knee in November which prevented me from running....but it will not stop me cycling there and back!

My uncle, Paul Marsden is running the marathon in my place. Together we are hoping to raise £2,000 before the marathon in April 2010.

Any donation for Paul can be made on this Justgiving page and will go to Scope. A big thanks for Paul's sponsors as we will together reach the target and, I hope, surpass it in the coming months.

Why am I doing this?

400km of cycling up long painful hills will all be worth it if I can help my daughter, Milla, who has a severe, life long disability. Milla has cerebral palsy, a condition caused by a brain injury which affects muscular control.

She is unable to walk, sit, talk or eat properly. Her cerebral palsy means she will need constant care throughout her life and may never reach independence or do anything most people take for granted. The money I raise will go to Scope to help continue their work making lives better for Milla and other people with cerebral palsy.

Please give what you can. It is very much appreciated and all money raised will go directly to Scope so they can continue their excellent work.

Thank you,

Tony Frobisher

A huge thanks to my amazing Mum, Donna Frobisher and her wonderful friends in Peterborough. My Mum, together with her friend Diane, held their annual cream tea event and raised money for Scope and cancer research. £580 were raised for Scope. Mum, as always, you are fantastic. Love you lots.xxxx.
