Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. I'm trying to raise money again for Macmillan Cancer Support, this time by cycling from London to Paris in July.
Mount Kilimanjaro nearly finished me off, altitude, dehydration and exhaustion! So this time, inspired by my son Laurie's cycle ride from John O'Groats to Lands End last summer, I'm trying cycling.
London to Paris is 470km and we'll be doing it in just 4 days, cycling from 90 to 145km per day, and it's going to be tough, especially for a reasonably novice cyclist like me. So I guess I'd better get training over the next few months on the roads around Oxfordshire.
Macmillan is a charity very close to my heart, as they were a huge source of support for my father (and mother) when he was dying of cancer.
I've paid for the costs of the trip myself and, with your help, would love to come close to the £5,600 I raised last time, for the Mount Kilimanjaro trek.
So please sponsor me now!
Many thanks for your support.
