Guild Care's 75th Annivarsary · 6 November 2008

Guild Care is Worthing’s trusted social care charity, supporting older people, people living with dementia and children and adults with learning disabilities. Every year we support over 3,000 people through our diverse range of community support and care.

Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Guild Care gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

As a volunteer driver, I've seen first hand what fantastic work Guild Care does for older people and carers in and around Worthing. For example, in my own limited experience I've met quite a few people who would never venture outside their front door from one week to the next if it weren't for Guild Care. These people are invariably very appreciative, and eagerly await the next time the minibus stops outside their door. Guild Care provides a truly amazing range of services, some of them innovative, all of them making a real improvement to the quality of life of their service users. Please visit www.guildcare.org to find out more about them.

As 2008 is Guild Care's 75th anniversary, I hope to raise £750 by walking 75 miles (ish) along the Sussex coast from Hastings to Bognor Regis. I'm too old and unfit to walk that far in one go; instead I plan to do the walk in 4 or 5 stages, starting on 7th November. So please sponsor me now!
