On Sunday 29th April 2012 I entered the first ever Milton Keynes Marathon!

Unfortunately, due to an injury, I had to pull up after 13 miles. I am gutted about this, as I was on course to smash my PB by 45 minutes and finish between 4hrs 30 and 4hrs 45.

Due to the injury, and having to drop out, I have decided I will complete another fundraising challenge in the summer of 2012. I will be swimming 1000m at midnight on the night of July 21st / 22nd, followed by a half marathon (13.1 miles) run at 9am on the morning of July 22nd. Hopefully this will make up for not completing the MK Marathon

As most of you may or may not know, I volunteer at a London hospital radio station - Radio Northwick Park (RNP). Our goal is to make patient's time in the hospital as bareable as possible by playing a wide range of music to help them pass the time and keep them positive. We run a request show 6 nights a week, where our teams visit patients, ask them for requests and dedications as well as speaking to those who want a chat and listening to those who want to talk.

RNP won Silver at the Hospital Broadcasting Association Awards this year, none of which would of been possible without the support we recieve from people like you.
