So please sponsor me now!

Dear all,

Thank you for taking the time to visit my page.  I am running the Medoc Marathon In Pauillac, near Bordeaux France, on the 8th September. I have been wanting to run a marathon for about 3 years now and have run 5 half marathons. I have always said I am only half stupid, but now I want to continue and prove I am totally stupid by running a full marathon!

OK about the Marathon THIS BITS VERY VERY IMPORTANT! why this one?

The marathon is run through vineyards and there are 21 water/rest stations along the way. At each station you have a choice of wine, food and entertainment.

My intention is NOT  to drink anything other than water and sports drink, as I am there to run the marathon.

I have tried to get in the London Marthon and chose the Medoc because it is unusual and if I am going to put myself through this I want to do it in a place where I can really enjoy the experience.

This is me saying I don't intent to get drunk doing it, maybe afterwards!

I have a target of 4 hours 30 min which is not bad a for a 42 year old, which is what I'll be in August, can someone remind my mother of my birthday please!.  FOR YOUR INFORMATION SHE FORGOT!

I have chosen the SICK CHILDRENS TRUST, for a few reasons, but key amongst them is that Issy and I are blessed with two troublesome, yet healthy little girls and have never had to go through the anguish of having a terminally ill or severlly ill child. It also happened this year I have done my Diploma in Sports massage and for this I have had to massage people doing events. I have one client who has run the London Marathon for Children with Leukima. She and her family have  had to use the facilities at Acorn house located at Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge. Geve did the marathon in  5 hours 15 mins for which she is to be heartily congratulated and hugged.

Donating a few pounds will all accumulate into a great big pot of money for the SCT.

All the expense of the race, entry, travel, accommodation etc are met by me and NOT a single penny of your donation goes to ANY costs accept the cost of this website, which is 5% of your donation plus vat.

Please give what you can and Gift Aid it also so the SCT can continue its great work.

Thank you again.  Many thanks for your support.
