Story
Hi and thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
Before getting married this year I thought why not do something a bit crazy & also for a good cause; skydiving sprung to mind.
I've always wanted to be Superman & I think this is going to be the closest i'll get!
The charity i'm jumping for is Dystonia. Like me you've probably never heard of this condition.
Dystonia is a neurological movement disorder in which sustained muscle contractions cause twisting and repetitive movements or abnormal postures.
It is thought that there are more than 40,000 people with dystonia in the UK.
I'd never heard of this condition before until I met my fiancee Katie, whose dad Mike suffers from this condition.
Those of you who know Mike knows how well he manages his condition-his positive attitude is to just keep going and fighting all the way. If i can only help him by raising some money for the Dystonia Society then at least i have helped him in some way, as no matter how much money i raise Mike will always have this condition until one day hopefully they will find a cure-and of course by you guys donating you will be helping to make this dream happen.
All charities need money but the impact made by the funds donated by my friends, family and colleagues to the Dystonia Society will make a bigger impact than donating to a better funded, much larger charity.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
