Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. We are a dedicated team of Poppyfielders raising money for Birmingham Childrens Hospital and their research and treatment of child brain tumours. Inspired by many children battling illness at BCH but particularly Poppy who is now 10 yrs old and has been battling a brain tumour since the age of 14 months! She has had 4 brain operations, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Inspired by their strength Team Poppyfields are tackling the Bournemouth Marathon and some are doing the 10k race the day before. One of us is doing the Chester Marathon on the same day as she couldn't get to Bournemouth. We're scattered across the UK but we will come together in Bournemouth for a common cause.

** Newsflash: Mark Dodgson is unable to do the Bournemouth marathon....instead he is running The Equinox a 24hr race (yes you read that right 24hrs) on 21st/22nd Sept.Unbelievable challenge and Top Poppyfielding for BCH! **

** Newsflash: Sarah Harber isn't content with Bournemouth so she is running the Great North Run this Sunday 15th Sept with Mo Farah!! Top Poppyfielding **

About the charity

It's bewildering and unsettling for anyone going into hospital but especially for children and that is why we are a fundraising hospital.
