As this is a special birthday year for me I thought what better way to celebrate than by taking on a couple of challenges for The Children's Trust for whom I am proud to be a Vice President. 

After completing my 9th marathon for The Trust earlier this year, I will be swapping hats for trekking gear and heading off to Africa to climb Mount Kilimanjaro. It's a challenge I've always wanted to do and what better year to do it.

I will be starting this 10 day adventure on the 4th October 2012 when I fly out with eight other trekkers all supporting The Children's Trust.   

I know that each step I take on this adventurous mountain will be towards a great cause, especially the more challenging higher segments with steeper parts, snow and altitude.  Trekking the magnificent mountain will be a dream come true.   I am even more excited as I want the flora and fauna of nature to inspire me and on my return to the UK I will specially customise a hat and donate to the Trust to be auctioned.   I know this will be a challenge, but nothing like the brave children, family, friends and team at the Trust experience every day, so I hope I can do them justice.

I am a London-based milliner and am renowned for my sensational bespoke headpieces and recently a luxury range of ready-to-wear hats, I have  a celebrity clientele that includes Rihanna, Danni Monogue, Kate Moss and Lady Gaga to name but a few.  Currently, I am working with dress designer Debbie Wingham, by creating an amazing headpiece to complement her stunning diamond dress for a world tour in collaboration with Rolls Royce.
