ENABLE Scotland - Titan Crane Abseil 21st & 22nd August 2010 · 21 August 2010 ·

Enable's mission is to create an equal society for every person with a learning disability. We are committed to amplifying the voices of people with learning disabilities and their families, to achieve positive change, through our grassroots and national campaigning.

Story

Some of you might know I'm running an abseil on August 21st - we're trying to raise as much as we can for ENABLE Scotland and make it the biggest one we've ever done. I'm up for descending for great heights again, but it needs to be something good if you're going to sponsor me, right?

So here we go. At 7.30am on Saturday 21st, I will be leaving my flat dressed as a tortoise. Reaching Great Western Road, I will be climbing aboard a trusty child's tricycle and beginning a journey to the Titan Crane. This journey takes around 2 hours walking according to Google maps - dressed as a tortoise and on a tricycle, who knows. Once there, I will climb to giddying heights and descend slowly, tortoise style.

Um. I'm not doing this unless I meet my target, because goddammit, it's going to really hurt and my journey will take me through Partick, Whiteinch, Yoker, Scotstoun and Clydebank. Please donate something! You never buy me a drink anyway, so here's your chance to cash in your money for weeks of mocking me. Thank you!
