BUL AND BACK UPDATE - WEDNESDAY 12th AUGUST

Day 19 of the journey now and we have been TO THE BUL and are on our way BACK...  3,400 miles on the clock now KEEP ON BETTING!!

We survived Turkish roads, Bulgarian roads and Romanian roads, this despite my accidentally running a red light at 110 km per hour this morning!!  We are currently in Budapest.  Not far now!  Anything around or slightly above the 4000 mile mark could take the prize pot now.

The story;

This summer Mark Robson and Gareth Browning will be driving to Istanbul and back in order to raise money for CHICKS (Country Holidays for Inner City Kids).  This is a charity that provides disadvantaged children with a free respite break away in the countryside in Devon so they can experience some of the joys of childhood that many of us take for granted but that these children may never see.

The vehicle Mark and Gareth have purchased for their journey is a 15 year Honda Concerto which was recently damaged in an accident and has an engine warning light on which no garage can diagnose, it cost them just £200. The average cost of a Bicycle in the UK is £237, what kind of car costs less?! The car will undoubtedly break down, the question is; “When?”

For £5 you can enter the sweepstake.  Pick a mile between 0 and 4000 and when the car does break down if yours is the nearest guess then you win half the prize pot, the other half goes to support CHICKS.

Just 100 ticket sales will see a prize fund of £250 for the winner.  1,000 ticket sales?..…   We’ll let you do the Maths!
