Ladies and Gents, Children of all ages,
Almost a year ago I was bored in front of the box, flicking through various channels when I came across some krypton factor stylee program on Eurosport.
People were shaking, bleeding, crying and generally being sick. It then went on to another segment detailing the crueluest of running conditions. Runners were coming in with hypothermia and pneumonia.
At some point my mind said to my body - Nicholas, you need this.
So, I mustered up the courage and entered the Tough Guy competition. 8 miles of pure hell.
Highlights include:
Electric Fences
Barbed Wire
Fire
Swamps
Swimming in a frozen lake (Bearing in mind its the end of Jan)

I'm in no doubt that I will be afflicted with one of the conditions listed above. In which case I have decided to run for a very worthwhile charity being "Hammer Out".
Hammer Out was started in March 2002 as a small fundraising group to raise awareness of brain tumours and the needs of those affected by them as well as raising money for brain and cancer related charities. Hammer Out would like people experiencing the shock and bewilderment of the diagnosis of brain tumours to know that you are not alone and have others to turn to.
Now I love raising money for a good cause, but if I raise over £3000 for Hammer Out, I will participate in the tough guy competition in my one piece latex Spiderman outfit. Believe me, it's not something I'm willing to give up easily!
You have the power to decide so get donating!
