Tough Mudder · 21 January 2013

The RAF Benevolent Fund is the RAF's leading welfare charity. We have been there for all members of the RAF Family for over 100 years. In 2024 we assisted more than 64,000 members of the RAF Family. Support us in 2026 and help us reach even more members of the RAF Family.

Story

7 Officers from 51 Squadron Royal Air Force Regiment will undertake a 12 mile assualt course known as Tough Mudder (http://toughmudder.co.uk) on 24 August in support of the RAF Benevolant Fund (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JuQIZNldjg0) .

To complete the arduous course comprising 25+ obstacles such as ice lakes, fire pits, electric wires takes a great deal of physical stamina and mental agility.

The team aim to raise money for this worthwhile charity ahead of their deployment to Afghanistan later this year.

The team tackling the course will be:

John Lynham, Kev O'Brien, Brendan Dunne, Anthony Xavier, Dan O'Shea, Alex Bamber, Gwyn Edwards, Steve Moore, Dan Quai & Dan McCarthy
