Story

Tour De France Charity Hill Climbs – To support Bradford Disability Sport Association

 

The Challenge:

The aim is to cycle every peak over 1250m in the last 3 hill stages in the Alps of the Tour De France 2009 this includes the following climbs and heights:

 

Tuesday 21st July 2009     -          Col De Grand Saint Bernard - 2473m

-                     Col De Petit Saint Bernard – 2184m

Wednesday 22nd July 2009 -         Cormet De Roseland – 1968m

-                     Col Des Saisies – 1650m

-                     Col De Romme – 1295m

-                     Col De Colombiare – 1618m

Saturday 25th July 2009    -           Mont Ventoux (The Killer Climb) – 1912m

 

This will be done the morning of each stage before the race takes place. This will ensure maximum exposure for the challenge with an expected 2 million spectators lining the road on the day of the race
